In order to do almost anything on the web, when using 'names' for the URL, like www.cnn.com, the name is sent to a DNS which translates it into an IP Address and then the requesting process uses that to complete the task. It is correctly defecting our network and can access all internal resources, I still just get the yellow warning symbol saying no internet access. One work around I have found (Although not what I am after) is enabling a web gadget (Eg Weather) and this fixes the issue cause it goes out through the web and authenticates against our proxy. It’s just disabling the IPv6 from the ‘ Change Adapter Settings ‘ in Network and Sharing Center. Go to Network and Sharing Center. Click on ‘ Change Adapter Settings ‘ on the sidebar.
